TechFinity toolkit

Privacy, analytics & data use

A plain-language summary of the technical information TechFinity Tools uses to run, protect, improve, and fund the site.

What may be collected

  • Standard request details such as IP address, date and time, requested page, referrer, and browser user agent.
  • A random first-party visitor identifier, session identifier, pages and tools used, and operational performance or error information.
  • Basic device, browser, and network characteristics used for compatibility, security, and aggregate reporting.
  • Information you intentionally submit when a tool requires server-side processing.

First-party analytics

TechFinity Tools records limited technical usage information so the site owner can understand which tools are useful, diagnose reliability problems, plan capacity, and improve the service.

A random first-party visitor cookie estimates unique and returning visitors. A separate short-lived session cookie groups activity into sessions and expires after approximately 30 minutes of inactivity. These identifiers are not authentication credentials.

Browser storage and advertising

The site uses first-party cookies or local storage for features such as theme preference, saved notes or favorites, game saves, session security, analytics, and remembering that the privacy notice was acknowledged.

Google AdSense and its partners may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, or similar technologies for ad delivery and measurement, fraud prevention, and personalization where permitted.

IP address and approximate location

The server necessarily receives your network address when you connect. Administrative analytics may use it to derive approximate country, region, city, network or ISP, ASN, and coordinates supplied by the configured enrichment service.

Location derived from an IP address is approximate and is not precise device GPS location.

Retention and administrative access

Raw visitor IP addresses are subject to a limited retention window configured by the site operator; the default analytics policy is 90 days. Keyed network hashes and aggregate traffic records may be retained longer for trend analysis. The default detailed-event retention period is 730 days.

Detailed analytics, including raw IP addresses and full user-agent strings, are restricted to authenticated administrative users.

How information is used

  • Operate tools and remember settings you choose.
  • Protect the service, investigate abuse, and troubleshoot failures.
  • Understand aggregate traffic and improve reliability and usability.

The first-party analytics system is intended for site operations and improvement, not to create advertising profiles. Google AdSense separately processes advertising-related information under Google's policies.

Google advertising controls

TechFinity Tools uses Google AdSense to help fund the site. Google and its partners may process device, browser, approximate location, and site-usage information for advertising purposes.

Important details

Technical data such as an IP address may be personal data under some laws. The bottom bar is an informational acknowledgment, not a claim that all collection is anonymous.

Clearing browser data may reset preferences and show the notice again. Individual tools may display an additional privacy note when their processing or storage differs from the general site behavior.
